Every treatment plan at PureMD in Dayton is preceded by an in-depth consultation with one of our providers, including SculpSure. Our trained team will take this time to get to know you and your aesthetic goals. We will also answer any questions you have about your treatment plan, including discussing how many treatments will be necessary to achieve your desired results.
Treatment
Your provider will place the SculpSure device on the area you are having treated. At first, you will feel a gentle cooling sensation which helps keep the skin comfortable during treatment. The cooling will be on during the entire treatment. The laser cycles on and off, heating fat in the deeper layers of your skin. Most patients report feeling some warmth or tingling, but no pain during the treatment.

Before SculpSure, We Recommend:
- Avoiding sun exposure for at least 7 days prior to your treatment.
- Avoiding aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) and Aleve (naproxen) for 10 days prior to treatment.
- That you do not apply lotions or any other topical treatments to the area being treated.
- Shaving the area if needed the night before treatment.
After SculpSure, We Recommend:
- Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) and Aleve (naproxen) for at least 10 days.
- Massage the treated area 2-3 times a day for 5-10mins.
- Use a cold compress (ice packs) and/or Tylenol (acetaminophen) to help relieve tenderness.
